Bloggy Mom’s

I’m not a big fan of all the Mommy Blog sites.

There are a TON of them.

Everywhere.

There are just too many Mommy Blog sites and too many Mommy Blogs.

That’s just my opinion.

And yes, I realize I am considered more of a Mommy Blog than anything else.

But at least I talk about vaginas, vodka and concerts.

But I got an e-mail inviting me to join Bloggy Moms. After I checked it out I found it very much the same as the others, with the exception that they REALLY support their writers. Like A LOT. Which is awesome. Of course, they had a long list of Mom stuff from teething toddlers to natural diapers for your new-born. But their Blog Roll was missing a crucial piece. Or at least what I consider a crucial piece. They had no reference for gay parenting. They had Adoption Mom’s. They had Christian Mom’s. But no mention of Lesbian Mom’s.

So I signed up and got accepted, which is always iffy if you say fuck in your application.

And I said it four times.

And then I started a GLBT parenting group to support, well obviously, GLBT parents.

Rainbow Parents

So here’s my link. Send it out to all your gay parenting friends. Write a comment, add a story or ask for support.

And although it’s not a big step for gay rights, it’s a step in the right direction.

“The lives we live, the wars we wage.
When everyone just tells us how to feel.
We’re sleeping at the wheel”

Be your own voice. It will eventually be heard.
