in medical

uterusSo a couple weeks ago I went to the hospital for a pretty basic medical procedure. The doctor was going to shove a camera (Go Pro?) up my who-ha, clean out my uterus, laser some stuff and take a couple of samples. It was pretty straightforward and I expected to be home within a few hours. They wheeled me into the operating room, knocked me out and I woke up in the recovery room without having the procedure.

Apparently there is something up there that is disallowing any entry.

On this weeks episode of Grey’s Anatomy a lady had a leech up her nose that she got by swimming in the Amazon. Since I haven’t been to the Amazon, I am assuming it is something else.

Probably an alien.

But to find out for sure I am going in on April 2nd to have a full radical hysterectomy. That’s right, the whole kit and caboodle! The nuts and bolts…wait, that’s for men only. Tubes, ovary (I only have one) uterus and cervix. All gone. Which means by Friday I will 1) be on incredible amounts of morphine and 2) be in full blown menopause.

That should make for an interesting mix on social media!

I’ll be in the hospital for a few days and then will be recovering from home over the next six weeks or so. Not so much looking forward to the recovery but at least I will know the alien, or whatever it may be, will be long gone.

See you all on the flip side.

Holy cow! I hope you heal fast and don’t have too much discomfort. I only know you through Laurel and your blog, and I think you’re pretty cool.
