HASHTAG #takeyourshirtoffAdam

in Concerts, Funny Stuff

imagesCA0HWP6LFriday night we took the kids (and by kids, I mean we took everyone’s kids but my own who was home on restriction) to see Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5.

I was fortunate lucky to drive to the concert with a car full of teenage girls.

I don’t have daughters. I have boys. One of those boys spoke no more than 100 words the entire time he lived with us. The other is chatty, but teenage boy chatty and teenage girl chatty are two completely different things.

Like worlds apart different.

These girls didn’t shut up and their volume level was 12 out of 10.

And.It.Never.Stopped.

To alleviate the pain of the now overly tired and wired on cotton candy conversation during the car ride, we devised a plan to get back at them (and hopefully shut them up) for the drive home.

We would HASHTAG our entire conversation.

Just like Jimmy and JT.

Because if there is one thing teenagers hate more than anything else in the world is having their parents (and other old people) mimic todays pop culture.

And since twerking wasn’t an option, HASHTAGGING seemed like a good way to play our hand.

AND IT WORKED!

Granted it too me a few tries to get it right. HASHTAGGING is not as easy as it looks, it takes awhile to get your groove but once you find it, good luck stopping. I came home and was HASHTAGGING the cat, the kid and my neighbors (who were perplexed with my renown HASHTAG abilities.)

I can honestly say I am a kick ass HASHTAGGER. I mean, seriously, it’s in your best interest to not challenge me to a HASHTAG war.

Concert Review- It was super good. I adore Kelly Clarkson so she was the highlight for me. I had never seen Maroon 5 live and they lived up to expectation. The only negative was when Adam Levine threw a little hissy fit because the sold out, on their feet crowd didn’t sing loud enough for him and he threatened to go home. Really Adam? And he didn’t take his shirt of which would have gone a long way in making me a fan for life. The bottom line it was well worth the money.

I was there Friday night with Rebekah and I agree about his hissy fit!!
Really??? Was he kidding?? Rebekah was disappointed Adam didn’t take his shirt off too!!
It was a great concert even if we didn’t get to see any of his tattoos. :)

Glenda- Right?!? I couldn’t believe that he was bitching about it! But he was still sexy!
