I Put the “Lazy” in Lazy Ass

in Self Awareness, Swimming

a6842ebc99cc75820deaec07d1a38e4b2We are heading into week three of our summer vacation. Andrew pretty much has his shit together, I on the other hand do not.

I’m pretty sure I have accomplished nothing that I needed to get done and very little of what I didn’t need to.

In other words, I’ve pretty much done nothing.

In my defense I do drive Andrew all over the place which completely cuts into my day. I have two options when I take him to wherever he needs to  go 1) sit and wait for him to get done or 2) drop him off and go home, only to turn around and get him in an hour.

Neither option is appealing.

Some of this schedule is optional. If he swims in the morning for CCAQ, he doesn’t swim at night and we normally give him Fridays off. Fridays are his day to do whatever he wants to do. And not surprisingly it normally means having his buddies over to swim and watch movies by the pool. But the rest of the schedule he does without fail.

I’m exhausted just looking at it, I can’t even imagine how tired he must be.

I’m pretty sure if I play my cards right I could carve out some time to, I dunno, go to the grocery store. And maybe, if I get overly ambitious, clean the bathroom or do the laundry.

But I don’t.

I play of Facebook, read books, play Words with Friends and text people.

Productive in its own right but not nearly as productive as I need to be to provide some order for the family.

I figure I have 7 more weeks to find this “productivity” thing everyone keeps talking about. Until then if you need me, I’ll be on Twitter.

I.. I umm.. I like Twitter. :)

Yay, summer!

Thing 1 & Thing 2 have 6 more days! Come on summer!!!

Meanwhile, I just tossed a load of laundry into the washer. Remind me to switch it over to the dryer later, if you think of it, okay? Heaven knows I won’t.

I’ll be on “the” Twitter! 😛

Peady- I’m still trying to *love* The Twitter…its getting better and you are helping! You are in the summer home stretch! We go a non-traditional-traditional schedule (try to figure that one out…) We have 3 weeks off over winter holiday, 2 weeks for spring and 2 months for summer.

Giggle! I always have so many summer “plans and projects” that never get done-Summer is too short if you count it by weekends! YIKES!
