Live Life with No Regrets

November 6, 2013

in Concerts, Mom, Self Awareness

Sadly, Rocktober has come to and end (and just in the knick of time because I almost died of exhaustion!) But it was fun and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

But only after I rest for a week or so…

People always wonder why I go go go. Honestly I don’t. I guess I go more than most, but I don’t go go go all the time. And when I don’t go go go, I am at home in my PJs watching 11 straight hours of TV.

It’s like I don’t have a middle part.

It’s all or nothing.

But I do like to enjoy life. I think we all should enjoy your time on this planet while it’s there for the taking. You don’t have to go to a gabillion concerts, but you should enjoy it in whatever way makes you feel happy and fulfilled.

You only get one chance at this life, so make it count. I remember one of the saddest things my mom said to me when she was dying was that she thought she’d have time to travel and enjoy her retirement.

She didn’t.

I’m no shrink, but I’m pretty sure that’s why I don’t let those opportunities pass.

When my time comes I don’t want to leave with any amount of regret. Blisters from dancing? That’s okay. A little hungover? Not a problem. I just don’t want to look back and say “Dammit! I should have done that!”

Hey, Sandi! That’s so true and I enjoy living vicariously through your adventures in addition to having my own! :-)

Keep on writing! Come and visit me on my site soon!

Hi Tara- I am so sorry I am so delayed on responding to your comment. I sometimes do it from my phone and apparently they got lost in cyber-space! Next year I am hoping to go to 12 concerts, one each month! And yes! I love your new site! We should do some guest posting soon!
