in Friendship

bffpersonLast night Meredith lost her person.

**If you don’t know what that means then you don’t have to read the rest of this post**

I guess she didn’t lose lose her. She just moved away. Far away.

Christina and Meredith just didn’t have a friendship, they had something deeper than that. You may have acquaintances, friends or even a best friend, but that’s not the same as having your person.

A best friend will be there for you, console you and comfort you. Your person will hold you as you sob uncontrollably because whatever hurts, hurts so bad you can’t breath.

A best friend will think they tell you everything but in reality it’s probably just a portion of the truth, the part you can say and still feel safe. Your person will share their deepest darkest secrets. Secrets so deep and dark and scary that you feel like there isn’t anywhere to hide.

You go to Starbucks, you go to concerts, you get your nails done, just like any other normal BFF’s would do. From the outside it looks the same, what’s different is on the inside.

When you have your person, you know it. Through good, bad and everything in between, you know it.

I’m sad that Meredith lost hers, but grateful I still have mine.

“Were friends, real friends. And that means no longer how long it takes when you finally decide to look back, I’ll still be here.” Meredith

I love this!❤️ I’m lucky to have found ” my person” so long ago, never knowing that 28 years later you would still be with me, never thinking you would ever leave or thinking things would ever change. Feeling lucky that this friendship keeps getting better. ” Totes Kewl”

I have never seen an episode. Can we still be friends?

You see.. the thing is… I had just had an *actual* person when it was starting and never got to watch and catch the craze all my pals got so into.

BUT! I *totally* get the whole “person” thing. OMG! YES!

I am so grateful for my person (and “my people”). Life would suck without them.

Lovely post!

Peady- yes we can still be friends! And thank you! Having those ‘people” in your life is an important part of our foundation and life is way better with them!
